Coworkers: The staff I work with could not be any more supportive. We all work together and share ideas and
thoughts about everything. It would be very difficult to work with people who
you could not talk to and share ideas with. Part of teaching is being able to
collaborate with the other teachers. Teachers who do not get along are not
being as effective as they could be and are not allowing the students the
opportunities to see collaboration and teachers working together.
Phone/ Money: These supports help me get through each and every day. You need
money because you need that to survive in today’s society. Everything costs
money and in order to buy food, clothes, water, etc. you need that money. My
phone is important and a support to me because it is not only my alarm clock
but it is my way of staying connecting with those around me. One important
person is my son’s babysitter. I check in on him each day to make sure
everything is going well or if someone different will be picking him up. I also
use my phone as a support to stay in contact with my family who do not live
around me. If I did not have this support, it would be difficult to stay
connected to those around me. It would also cause me to be a nervous worrying
wreck everyday not knowing what my son is doing.
Living with these supports for
so long, I would imagine my life would be in shambles if I did not have these
supports each and every day. I would imagine my life would be lonely and not
put together. My life would be completely different because I would have to
find a new way of living without these supports.

Hi Victoria,
DeleteAwesome, celebrate your supports. I join you to say thank you to all the supports in your life. I share in some of them and I feel it when they are withdrawn. Take time to honor them.

Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I liked your post. Bless God with what you have, they really are a great support. Sometimes we take things and people for granted until we loose them. Appreciate them and they will blossom and even be better and better.

Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I think that family support is very important and it is great that you have so much of it! I would be in shambles without my supports as well.
Victoria,
ReplyDeleteThese are some great reflections on support. I found it interesting that you reflected on your phone and money as support. You are right; we all need money to survive and most of us can't survive without a phone. It is also great that you have family that you can rely on that way; it seems like they go over and beyond to help you get where you need to go. I think that there ways and means of supporting you will inspire you to do the same for others.
