My Personal Childhood Web
I am surrounded by so many wonderful family and friends that
for me it was hard to even narrow it down. I would like to start first by
introducing my mother because without her I would not be who I am today.
The next person I would like you to meet is my older sister
Stephanie. Stephanie is 13 months older than I am. We did everything together
when we were little even wore the same outfits just in different colors. As we
grew up our relationship changed because she always thought I wasn’t as good as
her or as popular so she would always leave me out of things. Recently though,
we have grown much closer than we have ever been. She comes to me for advice on
different issues. She always wants my opinion similar to how I am with her. She
watches my son a couple days a week for me while I work. I really am thankful
we were able to come back together after years of not getting along. Even
though we may not have been close for a short part of our lives, I was still
constantly learning from her. I would watch what she did and sometimes go and
do the same thing. Other times I was just there to listen to her and she did
the same for me. Today, she means the world to me and I would not want it any
other way. I love and care about her and would do anything for her as she would
for me. Stephanie recently got married and I was the happiest girl ever sharing
my sister’s special day with her alongside her as her maid of honor.
The third person who made an impact on my life is my younger
sister Michelle who we all call “Chelle”. Chelle and I shared a room growing up.
Every night before going to bed we would share our day with each other. We
would tell each other everything. She is someone I love and care for her just
as much as she does for me. Even though Chelle may be in another state at this
point in her life, I know our relationship only grows stronger. Michelle was
always one who would be completely honest with you no matter how upset it made
you. She was never one to hide the truth. I always knew I would get a straight
answer when I went to her about an outfit or my hair and makeup. Chelle is the
godmother to my child and I know she will take what she taught me through the
years and teach my son the same way to be.
Altogether, my family is very loving, caring and supportive of me. They have left a mark on me and continue to support me in all my decisions. I would not be the person I am today without the impact of so many people.

Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteYour mom sounds very impressive being able to work so much and support you and still have time to listen to you. You sounded a lot like my daughter, Sally, when you mentioned how happy you were when your sister got married. Sally was my daughter, Katie's, maid of honor. When Katie announced a year ago on my husband's birthday that Katie and her husband were having a baby, Sally screamed like she had one the lottery. Katie had put the information in some sort of card she had given Sally, so at first I thought Sally had really one the lottery after Sally had read the card, but I soon found out that Sally was screaming because Katie was having a baby.
Thats so funny. It is a very exciting thing to find out someone is having a baby. My sister (Stephanie, the one who just got married in May) is actually pregnant now, due in July. I was extrememly happy and excited for the both of them. Her baby (sex unknown right now)and my son will be 10 months apart. I am hoping that we all live close enough so that the two of them can share a similar relationship that my sister and I have now. Being so close in age really helps in building a relationship because we are very similar.
DeleteThank you for sharing about your daughter Sally and Katie.
Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteI was able to download my own picture earlier but can't figure out how to download pictures now. Could you please tell me how you downloaded your family pictures?
Thanks,
Liz Thomas
Liz, I am so sorry I am just getting back to you. All I did was copy and paste the pictures into the blog area where I was typing. Hope that helps for in the future.
DeleteHi Victoria! What a beautiful family!! I am happy that you and your sister were able to communicate again. Sometimes it's hard to rebuild the bond once it's broken but I am happy that you all have decided to be involved in each others life again. Life is so short and it is very important that we love and show appreciation towards our loved ones. Those dresses you all are wearing are absolutely Stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThank You Latasha!
DeleteYes, I am very thankful I was able to have a relationship with both my sisters.
